for xiu xiu fans-is my theory correct?

I have a theory that you have to be sensitive and emotional to like Xiu Xiu. Off course, it doesn't mean that all the sensitive people like Xiu Xiu (no,not at all..), but I doubt that there is someone who is totally phlegmatic, and yet he likes Xiu Xiu. And the other thing is that those who like Xiu Xiu are not typically romantic, but rather they are unconventional, maybe little fucked up sometimes, but capable for beautifully deep emotions

I dont agree with your theory my friend.
As you dont need to be agressive to like death metal, or contemplative to appreciate classical, same thing applies here with Xiu-Xiu.
You know, so many people are not paying any sort of attention to lyrics for example.
Its all about perception, and it belongs to any of us, to interpret it the way we want.
To me, Xiu-Xiu sounds highly sexual for example.
It doest make me tear or else. It gives me goosebumps for sure, and maybe gimme some thinking time..about how he came over all his painfull experiences. I'm happy he found his way to deal with his problems, and i wish i could be so constructive,
But, i am gratefull that he shared such personnal subjects with all of us, in a magnificient open hearted way.
Generally, its very inspirating, socially speaken.

But theres nothing wrong with beeing emo at all. Theres no bad reason why someone like such music.
If someone likes Xiu-Xiu only cause of one feature, like Jamie stunning voice, or the bass, the bells, its all good.

Oh eskimaude, it's you again! Well, I think you got me wrong. It's not that I'm the most sensitive person in the world, but also I'm not totally phlegmatic. And I bet that you are not phlegmatic either. And Xiu Xiu music and performance evokes emotions in me, it's true, but it's not that I like only one aspect of it, I like it all!
