Hey everyone! The setlist from the recent Vancouver show went up, and I was wondering if anyone had any recordings from the event, or thoughts on it. It seems that there were some new songs (listed as Unknown.... must be from Island!!), as well as some returning favorites. I'm very excited to see I Am Not Afraid, The Butcher, and The Riverbed on this setlist- those are some of my favorite songs, and there aren't a ton of live recordings of them online! Hopefully the Island tour setlist will be similar :-)

The third song was "Paragon Of Order". The seventh song was "Fire-Mare". I'm still refining my new looping rig, and for now, my set lists are somewhat inflexible. I am working on integrating more older songs (and some newer ones) so that I can play lots of different things, change things up every night. For now, though, it's still a work-in-progress

I am incredibly stoked for Munich now, if that is even possible. I can't wait to finally hear "Paragon of Order". Also lovely to see "The Butcher" as a possibility.
I remember one of the London shows in 2014, someone kept shouting for it very loudly. (・∀・)

Ha, that was the opening act, my friend Matt, performing as Fairhorns.
There are a handful of former live staples that won't be making the transition. "Song Song Song", "Midnight Directives", "Tryst With Mephistopheles", "Infernal Fantasy"-- these are songs from a different mood and a different intention. (Others are transitioning very nicely, I'm really happy with the new versions of "Lewis/Shirt" and "I Am Not Afraid"!)
But yeah, I have five more "old" songs that I'm going to try and add as options, and then I'm going to focus on working newer songs with this set-up. "Soldiers Rock" is going through a big overhaul, it'll probably be the last to come. The others are coming quickly.

RIP Tryst, it floats in the flood.
Is it too much to ask whether Rob and Matt will be making the rounds with you?

This makes me hopeful for "I Am Not Afraid" at the Munich show! It's one of my most favourite songs ever.
Now I only hope I'll actually be able to go to the concert, 'cause I'll be in hospital for most of November and December... My therapist said it should be fine, and going to a concert will even count as part of exposure therapy, but I'm still worried... I really, really want to go.

Missed this post in the other thread, with an answer to my question above:
"I will be touring Island! I'll likely do one solo tour around the album's release, and then see about doing a trio tour with Matt and Robbie, pending their schedule. I wanted to redesign the set so it'd work with or without band... (I couldn't easily do solo shows for the last tour cycle without leaning heavily on older material.) Now it works great solo, and I'm hoping to get the band involved if time and budget permits it."

This is great! The use of the projector is so exciting-- I hope that will be implemented on the rest of this tour as well! Also it sounds so good with the looped guitar backing

The projector was so cool! Also the guitar-based Lewis Takes Off His Shirt absolutely slaps. I don't think I'll ever get tired of hearing that track but the fresher take was still very cool. Didn't even recognize it at first and let out a mostly involuntary "oh fuck yeah" when I finally noticed.

Ha, that was the opening act, my friend Matt, performing as Fairhorns. Oh gosh, was that was actually Fairhorns shouting very vehemently for "The Butcher"? I am very short, so I couldn't see who it was, I thought it was just some rando in the audience. XD Can't wait to hear your set in Munich, it's coming up soon, especially the new "Lewis/Shirt"!
