Thanks very much, guys. In my normal fashion, I cooked an enormous amount of food and invited a large number of people over for an open house style party. About 60-70 people came, all told. Thom (Gill) and Johnny Spence organized some musical entertainment, which was extremely generous and very moving-- a set of covers of my favourite songs. The food turned out so well that a couple of friends of mine (recently engaged) asked me to cater their wedding. It was, all-in-all, a really great party. I haven't been drinking recently, but I had quite a bit to drink over the past couple days, and I'm enjoying a nice murky not-quite-hungover-but-definitely-a-little-tender day off today, before I get back to work tomorrow Thank you all for your kind birthday wishes! |
