and if any of you are into this band/group ... the new album is pretty F-ing neato.
pretty much any music that odd nosdam makes is pure amazement. seriously.
what are your thoughts?

i dont like clouddead at all, but why? from clouddead is also in hymie's basement, with andrew broder from fog. hymie's basement was one of the most overlooked albums of last year, it is amazing.

i'm in love with why?'s solo album, and the ep he and odd nosdam put out is pretty amazing... i wasn't increbibly blown away by clouddead though...

I liked clouddeads first album quite a bit more. it seems like they're rehashing a few too many of their old ideas on Ten.

i really like cLOUDDEAD. who isn't a sucker for nerdy jams about historical figures and animals? they're one of the few current bands that actually seem like they're cultivating a new sound.
I don't think they have pretenses about what they're about, its irritating they get lumped as this 'white hip-hop' collective or whatever. their music is a lot more ambitious and thoughtful than that.
some other good projects by them: 'themselves' (great) and 'subtle' (some hits & misses)

I saw WHY? once about a month back and thought he and his possi were pretty good, but ill have to take a listen to his recordings

I get the feeling that they are talking about Ten, seeming as though cLOUDDEAD is reportedly no more. In which case, it's not a new release, it came out in 2004.
