To be a hipster, I call them The Xiu, and I'm one of those guys that says sioux.
I guess I call them shoe shoe. I read this thing that said "Pronounced shoe shoe or show show but never zoo zoo"

Greetings to all in the board,
The correct pronounciation of "XIU XIU" is, in fact:[glow=red,2,300][shadow=red,left,300]SHOE SHOE[/shadow][/glow]Right before the first encore on the faaaaaaaaaabulous gig last night (ZDB - Lisbon, Le Portugal), I had a chance to ask her: "Excuse me... how is the band's name pronounced?". Jamie (that is her name, correct?) smiled and replied: "Shoe Shoe." to which I thanked and informed the duo: "Did you know that means "be quiet" in portuguese?" Jamie and Joe looked at each other and...
And yes... the performance was incredible. Scary and seductive. The audience adored them and at this rate... they're gonna be The New Garbo. Well, sorta...
Argh!!! Who cares? I love them. It's official. And that's that.

Thank you for clarifying things. I think I got it. So...*ahem*:
The beautiful young multi-instrumentalist lady's name is [glow=blue,2,000][shadow=yellow,left,100]Caralee[/shadow][/glow] The beautiful young multi-instrumentalist man's name is [glow=yellow,2,000][shadow=blue,left,100]Jamie[shadow][/glow] The beautiful website designer's name is [glow=green,2,000][shadow=green,left,100]Joe Stewart[/shadow][/glow]
See, here's where it all started: By acessing the link to "I love Joe Stewart", I somehow got the impression that it was Jamie's parallel activity. From then on it was all a matter of reorganizing everything in order for the names to make sense again.
Yea, and Caralee's vocal performance was indeed, beautiful.

My mom is so 1337. 5h3 0wnerized j00! This is Lover Slang right?
Er... do you by any chance mean your "girlfriend" (mom, ie: mama) is "one hot curvy woman" (133) "all 7 days of the week" (7)? "Perfect height" (5h3)? and "Joe's one and only and nobody else's" (Ownerized j00!)?
Do those 3's stand for "boobs and ass"? Lemme studdy that more closely.
Er, some hints...?

"so 1337" Means: is highly skilled, from 'elite' to 'leet' to '1337'. "5h3 0wnerized j00!" '5h3' =she (5=s, 3=e) "0wnerized" = defeated, from internet multiplayer games such as CounterStrike, where if you kill someone, they are said to have been 'owned'. Variations are: 0wnd, pwnd (from the common typo), pwnzed, etc. The 'o' (oh) is usually replaced by a 0 (zero). "j00!" pronounced 'jew', means 'you'. So it means: "my mother is so highly skilled she defeated you'. The correct response is to feel ashamed All my best friends are nerds.

thank you henery for the clarification. i've seen l337 writing before, but i can never translate it properly... i think my favorite part of you explanation was "the correct response is to feel ashamed"...
