anyone know when that video is coming out that xiu xiu was making like i heard about it in a bunch of interviews but does anyone know if that still gonna happen?

i emailed jamie about this myself. the video is already finished and its coming out on the next KRS dvd fanzine. he said its directed by miya osaki and that its great.
they also have two more videos in the works.

I got to see the video at a show in Oakland where there was a bunch of short films/Animations/Comics/Zines and bands, last June. The video was for the song '20,000 Deaths for Eidelyn Gonzales, 20,000 Deaths for Jamie Peterson', and I think was mostly shot in the oakland/berkeley/sf area a few months prior by Mia Zane Osaki. I took some quick digital shots without a flash, as it was showing that day. here's some thumbnails for your curiousity, which don't really show much:   The video is hard to explain, but from what I remember, it involved scenes of jamie standing in various locations (not really posing, no lipsynching that I can remember) as well as scenes with a woman who I believe to be the fimmaker Mia, but I know for a fact there was also someone else intended to be in the video...then it cuts to a womans torso holding a grapefruit in-between her legs, awkward cuts showing it falling, and finally cuts showing this fruit being sown together with a needle and thread. Mia, Jamie..et al. did a great job on it, and visually it fits the song with being both beautiful and disturbing, but deep down I wish that (unmentioned) other person got to be in the video too. |

haha, I guess just be very patient or bother Kill Rock Stars and ask them when they're putting out that DVD. Or somehow open up my brain and observe the contents of what I saw  |

yeah it has to be recorded from the realplayer. he just put the stream file up on yousendit. :/
