an exercize in pointless philosophical discussion, but nonetheless..
i think your soul/vibe/spirit is forever in existence after death. i don't think that spirit has the conscious thought that people have while they are living because the period has been placed on their soul at death; though i think the sentence is there everafter.
not just the spirits of people though, anything that has been created that has a nature, like a religion or ideology in general.
like people that live through the spirit of jesus' or buddha or any enlightened teacher's writings become more spiritually alive and can be transformed by it's emphasis on love or chaos or whatever. i believe it's more than a psychological thing, that a spirit can be tapped into. i think seances can be real when people concentrate on the thing hard enough but people that meddle can give access to things they aren;t expecting (see white noise starring michael keaton
