I just saw the movie 'Saw' which was a brilliant little B-grade movie, just the kind I liked.. but in the credits I was watching and it listed the instrumentalists, and under 'exotic percussion' was listed Chas Smith.. and a guy names Ches Smith drummed on knife play.. something about the two seems related..
yeah there may be nothing in it, but I was just curious, who is Ches Smith..? sorry if this is all obvious and I should know, but I don't.
I just thought it was a cool little crossover

yeah I'm not about to defend the acting, or the holes in the storyline.. just any cheapish movie with plenty of gore and an entertaining enough storyline really gets me hooked.. and it was pretty original so that's always a bonus

Yeah, I rather liked the movie, even though it had it's BLATANTLY OBVIOUS flaws...
Oh well...
Ches Smith, unless I am horribly mistaken, was the drummer from Mr. Bungle.
By the way, he also played on the new Secret Chiefs 3 album, 'Book of Horizons', which is a great album. Everything from Middle Eastern-influenced music and death metal to Spaghetti Western music and surf orchestra. Cool liner notes, too...
Anyway, hope that helps. I have no idea if Ches and Chas are the same person.

People thought it was original? Oh dear. *rolls eyes* yeah well I thought it was pretty unlike other B grades I'd seen, and I like to reckon I'm pretty well versed but apparently not so anyway, who's Ches Smith?

Don't be duped into seeing this movie, it has no redeeming qualities (it isn't even that gory).
