here's a partial discography/pressing. Most of the information was stolen from vivalavinyl.org"Knife Play" 12inch (Tomlab) limited 180g version. OOP "Knife Play" 12" (Absolutely Kosher) 500 with a big foldout poster as cover. OOP "A Promise" 12" (Collective Jyrk) 200 copies with xeroxed and silkscreened covers. OOP "Split" with This Song Is A Mess But So Am I 7" (Oedipus) 300 on purple vinyl. 400 on black vinyl. All are numbered out of 700. "Fag Patrol" CD (Free Porcupine Society) 1000 made, hand numbered "Fabulous Muscles" 12" (Free Porcupine Society) 1st press limited on silkscreened covers, 2nd press on standard covers. split w/Bunkbed 7" (Turn) 500 made on transparent green vinyl I'm not sure about the Jim Yoshii Pile-Up split, or Chapel of the Chimes. Was/is Chapel of the Chimes ever available on vinyl?

also, there are two pressings of Fag Patrol, first one is the one most people know the second one is basically the same but with different art on beige paper and without the obi. they were selling it at their shows last november.

it's ok i'm french too on fag patrol the obi is the paper strip on the side of the record. it's a japanese word, which stands for the paper strip on every lp release in japan, which feature the band's name and record's title written in japanese:

my copy has a beige sleeve, but the art is the same as the scan on the xiu xiu site, at least on the front (white ink was still used, it doesn't show up anywhere near as well as on the darker paper). mine has the "obi" (although it could be more accurately called a faux-bi strip (droll, eh?), which is black text on white paper.
so it's possible that there are *three* versions, but i think it's likely the version you saw at the show was just copies for which the obi strip was missing. or can you remember how the art was different?
hadn't looked at this site in quite some time, just excitedly ordered the cdep from acuarela & the bunkhead split from midheaven. hooray. now, here's hoping for some UK shows in 2005 (i still haven't got round to putting my recording of the london show on soulseek, but will do so sometime soonish). daniel

Thanks a lot for the meaning of "obi". I've purchase my Fag Patrol at the last european tour too and there was no obi on all the CDs I've seen (just a sticker on the plastic package). The artwork of the beige version have some similar part with the grey version. this part : www.freeporcupinesociety.com/port/img/xx.jpg seems to be the same. but the front ( www.freeporcupinesociety.com/img/xiuth.jpg) is really different (bigger drawing with parts of the horse). about the cover art : I was very disapointed when I've received my "a promise" CD to see an orange shape on the dick of the man, does only the LP is uncensored ?

someday i will steal a digital camera and take pictures of it at the local record store. the artwork seems to be the same as the one used on the fag patrol poster but with white ink on beige paper:
