hmm.. I'm just asking about the songs/artists mentioned in Dr. Troll. I know Lady Day is a Lou Reed song (from Berlin) and well.. Nick Drake is Nick Drake.. but what about the other two? is Birthday a reference to the Birthday Party..? or even the Beatles song? hmm.. I've got no idea about On Fire, unless it's that shitty Lloyd Banks song on the radio right now.. which I doubt somehow

In the song "Dr. Troll," the lyric "Birthday" is refering to the song "Birthday" by the Sugarcubes. This song "Birthday" is one of the 3 greatest songs ever.

'on fire' is a fucking brilliant album, i thank xiu xiu for opening me up to Galaxie 500, everyone should check them out, especially 'on fire'
