OMD isn't super-commercial enough for you?
Seriously though, fiery furnaces blow live, in my opinion. Actually they're no good on record either. I don't know what all the hype is about.

I love them live. The only problem I have is that they're forced to cut out certain parts of the songs, because they couldn't possibly play them. One of the few acts where I don't find it troubling when they 'medley' everything. And Blueberry Boat is one of the best of this so far dull year. |

And Blueberry Boat is one of the best of this so far dull year. while it hasn't been as strong a year musically as last, there have been a couple really strong releases... destroyer, magnetic fields, and xiu xiu come to mind |

i think this year has been stronger then last,the animal collective album is amazing, les savy fav's realse was classic and black eyes realsed one of the freshest sounding records in the past 5 years. but thats just my 5 cents
