The show in morgantown was quite good. The crowd was pleasant and mindful, with the one exception- someone was repeatedly asking for hives hives, but was calling it out as a-i-d-s. I am sure they were from out of town- maybe from Williamsburg?
The show's set list was something like this:
crank heart i broke up fabulous muscles 10,000 times a minute rose of sharon clowne towne poe poe suha i luv the valley
encore: helsabot
I think I am missing a song- it was longer than usual, and the fact that they played an encore was a treat. 10,000 times a minute was my favorite of the evening, and Caralee singing Helsabot was a wonderfully different.
Thanks Jamie and Caralee!

Were many people there? I was surprised when I saw Morgantown on the tour dates because I'm going to school there next year and I really wasn't expecting a small mountain town in WV to get such a great show. It really excited me. Hopefully they'll play again. Do you go to WVU?

Dylan-:
I don't go to WVU. I live in Pittsburgh, but I grew up in Morgantown. I was very surprised, too, since xiu xiu came through Pittsburgh twice before.
I thought the crowd was decent sized- maybe filling up to half capacity. I've been to venues at 123 Pleasant Street with far more people in attendance. Since it was a Monday night, I think the xiu xiu show was mostly filled with fans of the band, as opposed to people who just "hangout". Had the show been on a Friday, it definitely would have been much more crowded and probablly a bit obnoxious.
