when i hear pretentious i think of elite snobs.. i dont know if that's accurate, but the word is thrown around so much I doubt anyone knows why they use it.

i wish'd i said "without referring to a dictionary" first. why? is it my fault that you didn't look to the dictionary? perhaps your point was that people use the word without actually knowing what it means. but since you didn't specify that point, i figured i'd give you the dictionary definition, and dictionary.com always has simple, concise definitions. did i know what it meant before hand? yes, although i doubt my definition would have been as concise |
