hi, I was messing with that song too. You can play it a half step lower and then switch from a C major to an open chord with 2 on A, something like that. Then you can do the pulling off part on the high e| 1p0 0 1p0 0 3p1 1 etc I don't know how to play it in the right key maybe some alternate tuning or something.

Here is my attempt to tab the bass line of "sad girl" from the ten in a swear jar album adapted to fit with the xiuxiu version. To play it with a guitar, you must use a capo at the first fret.
Sad girl
Intro:
first, this 3 times C Am E------------------------------------------------------------------ B------------------------------------------------------------------ G------------------------------------------------------------------ D-2h--3----2-----------2---------2-----------2---------2---------- A---------------3-----------3---------3-----------0---------0----- E------------------------------------------------------------------
h= hammer on
Then: G Am E------------------------------------------------------------------ B------------------------------------------------------------------ G------------------------------------------------------------------ D--2h---3----2-------------------------------------------2-------- A------------------------2---------2-----------2----0---------0--- E-----------------3-----------3---------3--------------------------
and finish on: E----------------- B----------------- G----------------- D--2h---3----2-- A----------------- E-----------------
Verses: just hang around a lot with Am and some Em(just listen to the record for the Em).
Chorus: same pattern as the intro C, Am, C, Am, C, Am, G, Am and finish on a C
This tab is far from being correct, but it's not that bad to sing along with.
(my english is pretty bad, sorry)

Helsabot is pretty simple:
(capo on 2nd fret)
(little picking thing) ------------- ------------- ------------- -----0-2----- --2------2/3 3------------
Verse: C, Am, Em... do little picking thing above
Chorus: C, Am, G, F(play F like a C, but move middle and ring finger down a string)

Hmmm. I'm a bit iffy on this one, but I came up with a couple of versions of Suha - if your friend has a guitar or something, give it a shot with two. I use the following chord shapes to get the best replication of the sounds...
Chords: C#m - 446654 B - 799877 E - 779997 G# - 668886 First or only guitar plays C#m and B during verses like this (listen to the record, especially the intro, for a better idea)
C#m Black lung got you down B To - night
and the chorus is:
E Hate my body G# Hate my chil - dren B Please let me escape
When will I be going home?
If you have a second guitarist around, or want a more sparse sound, I have a powerchord version. Get your second guitarist (or yourself) to play these chords in substitution for the ones above. I actually think powerchords sound better for the first verse than full chords. I've been using
C#: x466xx B : x244xx E : x799xx G#: x688xx
Hmmm. But in the chorus, you can almost add a slide up from the B to a C# and back again. Listen to the sax solo to get an idea of what I mean.
Hope this is of use to someone. If you've got anything to add, email thefailuresofthemodernman@hotmail.com or just post it here

huh, i didn't think to do helsabot with a capo. good idea though.
i was just doing a straight d major - b minor - f# minor - a major thing.
and for the fancy line:
E--------------5---------------------------------------------------- B-----------------7------------------2-3-2------------------------ G--------------------7--------4------------------------------------ D----4-7-------------------4-------------------------------------- A--5---------------------2----------------------------------------- E-------------------------------------------------------------------
E----------3-2----------------------------------------------------- B---------------2-------------------------------------------------- G------------------------------------------------------------------ D------4------------------------4--------------------------------- A----0---------------------4-7----4------------------------------ E--2---------------------5----------------------------------------
disclaimer: worked out from memory, so there is double room for error in both what the exact song goes like and what my transcribing is like. should be pretty close, though.

Nieces Pieces is pretty simple:
(standard tuning)
--------------------------- --------------------------- --4------5----7------5/4-- ---------------5----------- --3------------------------- -------------------------
...and repeat.

for the capo'd Helsabot version, does anyone happen to know how to play the bridge part? (right before it goes into the chorus, the finger picking)..
i'm horrible at tabbing stuff but playing the rest sounds great like that. anybody? any help would be mucho appreciated.

for the helsabot bridge, just do what i called "the fancy line", and play it as though the capo isn't there, (or else subtract two from everything, except for the 0 on a, which is a 5 / (3 with capo) on e.

.... has anyone picked out the acoustic version of dr. troll? i think it starts strumming back and forth between these two:
D--7--7-- A--7--5--
but i haven't really sat down to pick it all out yet... thanks.

hey, this is the first time i've written tabs, wee! this is for 20,000 deaths... on fag patrol. oh yeah, my guitar is downtuned to D so you might wanna move your hand down the neck. there's probably an easier way to play this (the 5-9 thing stretches your hand) but this is how i do it. on my crappy downtuned guitar.
first part:
E------------------------------------------------------------------- B------------------------------------------------------------------- G------------------------------------------------------------------- D----9---9------9----7-5-----4--5--7-------------------------------- A--5---5---5-4----4------------------------------------------------- E-------------------------7-----------------------------------------
second part:
E------------------------------------------------------------------- B------------------------------------------------------------------- G------------------------------------------------------------------- D----9---9------9----5-7--9----5-4---------------------------------- A--5---5---5-4----4------------------------------------------------- E---------------------------7---------------------------------------
and just alternate between the two.d

I'm sure it's actually more complicated, but Fabulous Muscles off of the Tour Support EP can be played as C-Em-G with a capo on third. Feel free to add to this.
