-In younger people, three out of four deaths from heart disease are due to smoking
Ban cigarettes before trans fats. At least when someone eats a burger from McDonald's they're only harming themselves, but when someone lights up at a party they are harming more than themselves.
I don't think trans fats are all too spiffy, but seriously, first things first. If people can cut carbohydrates from their diet, I am sure they can cut trans fats out too.

also take a look at these mindboggling statistics:
- 4 out of every 5 smokers likes to eat sandwiches
- almost 100% of doctors agree: air is good
- lung cancer is the leading cause of sadness in north america, accounting for 38.2% of all cases of sadness (followed by car accidents [26.9%] and stubbed toes [22.0%])
- over 50% of smokers die at some point.
- jesus hates smokers.
- sometimes you sit on your cigarettes and break them. 84% of smokers agree: that sucks
- studies show that you will infact lose 2 good friends to rampaging cases of herpes, if you start smoking.
after seeing those facts, i dont know how anyone can tolerate smoking.

want to know what i hate? people ramping about smoking. give it up. how long has this campaign been going on to stop smoking? ages. its boring. lets start a new one, aimed not at making fat people smaller, but deader. its genetic you know.

yeah.. most of it is aimed at increasing life insurance premiums and shit anyways.. but it's like the censorship issue.. censor yourself.. we have the right to smoke or get deathly fat if we want to.. i respect a non-smoker's right to avoid seond-hand smoke.. i also respect everyone's right to a decrease in pollution too.. i don't know how a trans-fat topic turned into a smoking rant.. but yeah if trans fats are deadly, then be a concious consumer.. i've heard about a fat tax too.. taxing all our favourite sweets, munchies and shit like that (seems clever at such a time as when legalization of marijuana is being considered  ). Like tobacco tax it would go towards the healthcare budget.. but i find it hard to beleve healthcare has seen even a cent of any of what it's been promised from that..
