if you make an ABBOTSFORD message board...it should have all the venues, not just bars and stuff.
what about EA, MRC, the haven, the gypsy hotel (RIP), the burlesque house (RIP), rick hansen and the paradox in seattle?

r-dub, I said The Punks Zine was for everyone in Abbotsford, not my website. Having said that, if people were nice about it, and willing to help out, I would be happy to add a section on my website dedicated exclusively to the Abbotsford Music and Cultural Scene. if you want to help the 'abbostford scene' why don't you contact stu, who's done a ton of work with shzine....and combine forces rather than doing the EXACT SAME THING?

I'm not trying to compete with Stu. He has done a tremendous job and has a great forum. I just thought it would be fun to have a forum originating from Abbotsford specifically for Abbotsford. it seems to me your forum i basically the same as shzine. if you're wondering why thepunks forum isn't flourishing with shzine members yet just look how it compares:

neilsucks, I don't think I'm better than anyone else. I just do the best I can to help myself and others with what God gave me. I had an idea of how to start something nice for the young people of Abbotsford. I always hear them complaining about not enough to do. I'm a well-intentioned, very creative and resourceful person and this was to be only the beginning of an expanding effort on behalf of our young people. Who knows what it might have become with a little bit of positive encouragement. You have almost succeeded in talking me out of it. Congratulations. Sorry to trouble you. no dude. just start a community on shzine. there are tonnes of abby people here already and this way there will be no recruiting involved. it will just be easier for you. if the community does totally awsome then get the abbotsford people who are already deeply involved to help you expand by moving to your own forum. im just trying to make some suggestions that will make it easier for you to accomplish what you are aiming for. just a suggestion man.
