Could anyone possibly help with transcribing the vocal part to this song? I'm trying to do an instrumental arrangement, and I always have trouble figuring out vocal lines by ear for some reason...

Scale degrees from memory (do you know scale degrees?):
chorus: 5--5-3355567 5-55-5567 7 8-88-88-8876 5555-35-3432
verse: 666777111253 (or: 66677711125332) 3322--22-11 77715533
(or: 345-38-3538 33322255531 32-243-3231715533)
this is really lazy, but didn't want to let this go unanswered. set the key you're singing this in as the note "1" and make the next note "2," etc.

Hello there, So, I was doing absolutely nothing when I saw this post and, being a lover of a good ear training exercise (who isn't), I decided to go into Finale and punch this out for you! (It's attached to my post....just a pdf) I could of been a bit more neat/accurate/musically correct/thorough but for what you're asking for I think it gets the job done. I am going into my sophomore year as a music major at Winthrop University. That being said, my only credentials to back this up are A's in my first two semesters of Aural Skills. I think it's cool you're doing an arrangement of this song and I would love to see a copy of it when you're finished! -David Attachments:
