Hello. I'm guessing that you wonderful people have some experience buying Keyboards, Synths and things similar. I'm looking at this: www.ebay.com/itm/160694801923?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649#ht_1873wt_1163It seems like a great price....... But I'm in Vancouver, Canada and this guy selling is in Paris, France. Do any of you know what taxes and duties (suprise!) i'll be facing if I buy it and when it gets here? Thanks guys, and I will return the favor when I can

I don't have an answer for you, but recently I received a gift package* from the States and UPS charged $33 at the door as a brokerage fee, which is too damn high as I found out that anyone who knows better can clear the item through customs themselves for much cheaper. There are lots of complaints about it, so it's something you can search too in addition to taxes and duties.
* To show that we can turn any thread back on topic: What I received was a pair of Sennheiser HD600 headphones, which give Heartland in particular an incredible soundstage. Midnight Directives sounds most different from what I was used to, being able to hear all the instruments more clearly.

Thank you, i've gone through a zillion pages of CBSA and Revenue Canada and the answer is still kind of wonky. 12% tax in British Columbia . My 'good' is gonna be a lot more expensive then I thought....... Is it possible the used items aren't taxed??? And that's what I need to invest in...... good headphones. Another time though. I got some decent earphones recently in Hong Kong (it's in the car, I can't quite remember what it is), but compared to it's predecessor, $15 JVC earphones, Heartland sounded amazing. I remember playing Lewis Takes Action for the first time and hearing the Kick and Snare loading my brain with such clearness and epicness .
