Hi Owen,
I recall reading somewhere that you were open to song requests. I'm going to your show on Thursday at Alderney Landing and am hoping that it's not too late to make a request. Is there any chance you could play "Scandal at the Parkade"? While I love all of your music, I find this song exceptionally wonderful.
Thank you!

I second this request! I was hoping to hear it at the last three Halifax shows, but no luck. It was even written on the setlist that my friend has from the last Owen show in Halifax, but he didn't play it.

w00t!
Scandal at the Parkade, as requested. Not to mention something brand new... and phenomenal sounding, especially with those drums.

Amazing show, as usual. New song sounded great. Scandel was just as good as i hoped it would be. Can anyone help with the setlist? Arctic Circle (first song, solo) Scandel At The Parkade (second song, solo) Keep the Dog Quiet (band) Tryst with Mephistopheles (band) This Is the Dream of Win & Regine (band) A Man With No Ankles (band) New song (band) Lewis Takes Action (band) Lewis Takes Off His Shirt (last song, band)

WHAT? THERE'S A NEW SONG? Personally I can never imagine Owen playing in a band band. Like this sort of band. I can only imagine him in a string quartet, orchestra and solo. How was it with a band? I'm trying to be open to that idea but I am gonna miss the 3 above, but I guess he's just trying something new

Yes, a new song. Very good new song. I think he said it was the second time they played it. I wonder if anyone made a recording of it.
I liked it with a band. It's just a little band: Owen + drums (missed drummer's name) and bass (Matt Smith). Works well with the Heartland/Swedish Love Story material, but also adds something new to old ones (Win and Regine).
That setlist seems about right, as far as I can remember.

Alpentine has a youtube link of the new live song he played in Dartmouth. Also another one from Sappyfest.
