Is Owen about? I was wondering 2 things: 1) Can I tape the audio of the show? It would be awesome for fans here and I never make any money off these things.... 2) What exactly will the program be and how long will your set be if you're doing one... Also have you worked with Nadia Sirota before?.... huge fan and she seems like your kindred violin spirit.... Anyway, would love if you got back to me... really a genuine fan of your music and hope there's no harm in asking as I rarely tape nowadays without doing so.... Yehuda P.S. This is how my last recording - merged with vids I took - of your shows went: Kenny Loggins Cover and the Bell House: www.youtube.com/watch?v=1pHxWBvvmEITWTAD @ The Bowery Ballroom: www.youtube.com/watch?v=us1hOeiVFx4EDIT: Saw that WNYC might be broadcasting some of these shows..... is yours one of them?

I certainly hope this is recorded. Seconded. Would be good if those of us trapped on the other side of the sea could hear it somehow

Oh no I didn't mean to pressure you! Haha.... you should. That way I can blame you when Owen gets mad at me. Anywho, I hope he does get back to me even in the negatory.

Nadia was at last night's Zoe Keating show at Le Poisson Rougue, wasn't she. I considered finding her to say "Hi! I'm excited about your show on Wednesday!"
But I didn't.

I had a lot of fun at the show, though it was sad that there were a few audio mishaps during Owen's set. But what's to be expected when trying out a new way of playing familiar tunes.
Bravo Owen for keeping it altogether. I hope a recording does surface.... He Poos Clouds with Chamber Ensemble and Keys is AWESOME.

The audio for Doveman's set was a little rocky too. But yeah, nothing like what happened during Owen's set. He really did keep it together pretty well--so well, in fact, that after my initial WTF reaction to the squawking, I started wondering if it was some new electronic addition to the arrangement that I'm too musically unsophisticated to understand or appreciate. Because he really didn't seem bothered by it, and he kept playing. Then he finally stopped playing so he could stare down the sound guy.
I loved hearing the interesting new arrangements, and I'm very curious to know who he had in mind to sing "Midnight Directives." I think my favorite songs of the night were the lovely and quiet "E is for Estranged" and "What Do You Think Will Happen Now." There's something achingly beautiful about those two, and hearing them performed live with the string quartet and actual piano in addition to the keyboard made me very, very happy.
Oh, and I think we need to start replacing words with "Jesus" in more songs. "If I call you Jesus, darling, would you smile or would you even care?"
