Oh thank god, this one is in the UK store, I don't have to get it shipped from america -_- That's the only reason I've still not got the LTOHS ep yet :/ Don't suppose it'll ever make it's way to the UK store Owen? I probably should have checked out Domino's UK store before buying from the american one...Oh well it's only a few quid more than it owuld have been. suburbanmyth, I used a debit card but it's a Visa debit card so I can just use the Visa option..so I guess that doesn't really help you. Oh I can get it shipped from america, but I'd rather not have to tbh, extra time/expense/risk of damage :S Then again this from the boy who spent ~ £20 on postage to get the Heartland score shipped from Canada

I don't understand? The pre-order from the UK store ends up costing more. Where is the logic in ordering it from the UK, then? The EP from the UK is 4.99E + 10E for shipping. The EP from the US is 7CAD$ + 8CAD$ for shpping. As far as I know 15E is more than 15CAD$. Am I living in another universe?

It's a Canada thing, I think. The debit's actually a mastercard sort of affair. Hope you got it ok! Pam, the crazy Americans refer to credit cards as debit cards. It confuses the crap outta me, too. No way.

Mine came to £8.09 in total £4.99 for the EP and £3.10 for postage. Which is about 13-14CAD I think :3

Pam, the crazy Americans refer to credit cards as debit cards. It confuses the crap outta me, too. Really? I never realised that. That's so confusing. Okay. I don't want to take the thread down a tangent, but I feel I must explain myself and my countrymen: 1.) Credit card = A card on which you purchase items with money loaned "on credit" from a credit company. The credit company pays the merchant, you receive a bill at the end of the month tallying your purchases with an additional interest charge, you pay the credit company. 2.) Debit card = Generally, a card tied directly to your bank checking account. Used like an electronic check. When there's no money in your checking account, you can't buy anything with the card. Perhaps that clears up our zany vocabulary. I'll be perfectly honest and say that my mind skipped past the price when I ordred it. This record is only slightly less important than a medical procedure I'm saving up for, but I figured I could spare the $12. I know it'll be great, Alyssa, but it's just the principle of the thing. It always kills me when I'm paying more to get something than the item itself costs. I suppose I'll just imagine it's a $12 record and leave it at that.

For some kind of weird reason, I thought you were in North America too. >_< And Altman, that means that you guys can purchase things on the Internet with your bank card? I may be mistaken, but us Canadians have to purchase things on the Internet with a credit card.

Nope squidgy damp little island for me ^_^ Also, just for the record, I was using a VISA debit card, always have online..... mainly because I can't quite remember where my credit card is hiding.

I'd definitely rather send my money directly to Owen than pay more than double because of Domino's extortionist shipping rates. $12 just for shipping? For ONE vinyl EP. Come on...
I can definitely understand that pressing vinyls is expensive, and I'd also accept paying more for recordings (in physical shape) to compensate for potential loss of income from file sharing, but I do feel like they're overcharging for the shipping here, to compensate. Maybe it's just the standard overseas rate, though?
The record looks lovely and I'm definitely looking forward to wrapping my ears around the new songs. Sorry about the negative comments above.

just file this under: "take one for the team"
i'm going off to boston for school so i won't even get this EP at the right house, and I won't have a turntable at school so there's no real point in sending it there.
but i had to buy it, y'know?

It's taken a couple of days to pick myself up off the floor when I saw the tracklist, hence lack of posting the only word I could think of at the time....[glow=red,2,300]THANKS[/glow]
