Hostel is $20-23 a night, and it looks like there's some comparable stuff on airbnb. It's the Hostel Chez Jean. The neighborhood is a bit dodgy, but besides a couple of scowling frenchmen that's the only negative part of it. It's a 5-minute walk to Rue St. Denis, which has food, and walking a little further up puts you on Berri and the subway line, and it's a few stops and one transfer to get right to the park. I stayed there when I saw Owen at Outremont, and the owner is just the nicest lady you could ever meet, and most of the tenants were really nice people. Amenities are pretty good to boot. Unless I can find a place to stay with a friend, I'm definitely staying here with my ladyfriend. |

Anyone know what the parking situation might be there? Emily and Danny, I hope to leave Fri and then drive back Monday... I will probably opt for the couchsurfing.com solution or a friend of a friend's floor.
