Hi y'all! i know i rarely post here...and only ever being on one forum other than this...I'm not sure how much they differ? so i'll be brave and make a thread that i hope people get into! Since there is a thread for musical talent! why not see if any of us out their are talented in the visual arts... Music and Art are pretty related, for me anyways, so i feel a thread like this really fits into an Owen Pallett forum, his music is what essentially makes up my art playlists haha... i don't have much of my drawing or painting work on the computer. but i'll post some little experiments i've done on photoshop...whenn i sort out my animations ill post them aswell... K nuff rambling Mathew...im sure i've already bored half of the readers on here criticism welcome! even though i'm most likely to ignore it... T-shirt print for college - this is a crappy J-peg...the real file looks much clearer Another print img4.imageshack.us/img4/2029/68520682.jpgill post more when the thread takes off

Oh, excellent! I'm glad you took the initiative. I'm actually right now working as a resident artist at a rural high school through a program with the state of South Dakota and have been working on some new stuff of Midwestern mythology since being on staff. I put a small portfolio up on Facebook that has some older slides, too, so I'll drop the link down instead of putting images directly into the thread: www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2014300&id=166900775&l=1d75092ee2Let me know what you like, and I'm excited to see what anyone else posts!

Great idea for a thread, but I suck at arts. Matthew (if that's really your name), I could totaly imagine this on a T-shirt, and it looks realy cool. Altman, man, your things are great. I absolutely love the two scratchboards art. Oh Keren, I really love that last "Fabric" photo. It's wowcredible. I am incredible jealous by your talent, guys.

Wow!!! You guys are all Bloody Amazing!!! unicornmagic - I WANT THAT SHIRT!!! Yes. Yes, I really do. Mr. Altman - Your work is so magical and dreamlike. I love it so very, very much. I can't even decide which piece I like best, they're all so different. <3 Keren - That series of paintings is so fantastic, again I can't pick a favorite. Love it!!!! Ben - Wonderful photos, man!! Gah! Y'all rock so much, I am now even more embarrassed by the strange scribbles I've occasionally posted on this forum. Ugh. But in the spirit of self-humiliation I'll add one of my paintings to this thread anyways. I rather like it, actually, even though it's a very shitty photo.

suburbanmyth, thanks I don't want this to seem like just politeness in return to your compliment but that painting is just beautiful, really beautiful. Even ignoring the beauty of the painting itself, the image is really powerful, to me at least. I'd love to see more!

I love the color in the birds, and the pattern on her dress, and just the concept of the whole thing. Also the feeling like it's been frozen in time, with the tops of the dandelions just starting to blow away, and just.... the color of the whole thing.

Awww!!! Thanks guys, you're so very sweet! I really appreciate the feedback. It's hard to have perspective on your own work sometimes. Ben - I kinda despise the painting I'm working on right now but I'm going to finish it anyways, just to prove myself wrong. haha But anyways, I have a couple drunken sketches that are going to continue this series...
