I never really liked Deerhunter. I've never gotten into Deerhunter either. Then again, I've said the same thing about Caribou, but I am so fucking impressed with Swim, having just gotten around to listening to it this past week, that I probably should give 'em another chance.

I never really liked Deerhunter. Pity. I consider them one of the best bands around now. You should give Halcyon Digest a shot!!! When I saw Owen in Gothenburg, he was wearing an awesome Weird Era t-shirt. (http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3284/3002520032_b65cde1d4a_o.jpg)

Guys.
The Age of Adz.
It is too early to tell how I feel about the entire album, but there are more than a few high points that are just ridiculous.

I feel like I will forever give them a shot, and constantly be like "Yeah, no."

Impossible Soul and Too Much are so so so fucking amazing. Seriously. Any initial reservations I had are long gone, and I now cannot stop listening to this album. It is the perfect imperfect blend of everything Sufjan has done in the past decade.

I've been listening to the new OMD album "History is Modern" this last week and it's well up to the mark. Obviously its no Dazzle Ships, but I can't find a track I dislike and the more I listen the more I find all those little things only OMD could do with electronics

Diamond Rings' album Special Affections is magical. I first heard of John when he opened for Owen back in January in Toronto and he was amazing. I've been waiting for months now for this album to be released and it is absolutely wonderful.

Thread revival! When it gets to this time of year, I love reading other people's year-end lists. No matter how much music I listen to, I always miss some of the best, so, now that December is more than halfway over, what are your favorite albums of 2010? As for me, I'm counting down on my blog, one album every day until December 31, so I do not want to spoil any surprises, but here's what I have so far: 20. The Third Eye Foundation - The Dark 19. Chilly Gonzales - Ivory Tower 18. Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross - The Social Network 17. kiichi - バフォメット [Baphomet] 16. Caribou - Swim
