I am sooo hoping that it's going to be Brighton on the 27th, that would be PERFECT in every way :-) Seems almost certain to me that it will be given that they said they were playing Brighton on Lauren Laverne's show last week and the London, Cardiff and Manchester shows are all already booking.

Brilliant, a Birmingham date! Now I am left with a dilemma - do I just go to the Birmingham one or make the trip to Manchester as well?

Here is another UK date: 27.03.2010 Birmingham (UK), Rainbow Warehouse Hmm, does that mean that Brighton is off I wonder? One thing that disappoints me about this tour is it seems to be targeting no-seater "sticky floor" type venues. The friend I went to Union Chapel with is thinking of not coming to Koko this time for that reason. Venues like that don't encourage the kind of respectful audience that I've come to expect from Owen's gigs. Anyone else feel the same?

As handy as Birmingham is, I was hoping for Brighton, and The Rainbow doesn't really look like the best kind of venue for Owen I think we've been spoilt with Church / Chapel venues which are much more up his street. Having said that, Owen could make a cattle shed MAGICAL with his sound

Amen to having been spoilt by church venues I don't know all the UK venues but from what I can tell from internet searches none of them seem particularly special. But they are all bigger venues. Maybe this is the price we pay for Owen getting just a bit more success...

Actually the rainbow warehouse sounds okay in this blurb..."the raw authenticity of a Victorian warehouse combining with an outside area set under a 19th century viaduct that is transformed into a beach in the summer and Garden in the winter". Leeds back in 2007 was under the railway arches and that was a good show. I'm just please he's doing dates..yes the church is great, but the music is really what I'm there for.

Yeah we have been spoilt by nice church venues. I remember seeing him at the forum the other year and although he was still amazing I did get annnoyed with people talking..it's like you've payed to be here, why talk all the way through? Anyway I can't really do Birmingham, so I suspect I won't get to see him on this tour .
