Now that we know that Heartland is coming out in the beginning of 2010, I thought it would be a good idea to come up with album arts. This is a place for you to share your ideas and, eventually (and hopefully), for Owen to put up the official album art. Here is my take on what Heartland should look like on stores and shelves everywhere ;D Now go ahead, give your opinion, share your own art! GO!

ooh cool did you do that/where did you get that? It's a promotional poster for the new album created by Colin Bergh, who is doing the artwork for Heartland. It's not the actual album cover, but part of the artwork and I'd imagine the styling would be similar. Colin produced that amazing artwork for the Spectrum and Plays to Please and was also responsible for the Nifty album artwork and Creeping Nobodies - Augurs & Auspices. I particularily like his use of fonts which are clean, but stand out and seem to draw you in rather than be a distraction.

Well, seeing as I was at Home and not at an FF show tonight... and possibly indulging in a bit of self-pity (yah, I suck).. and maybe quite a bit of Sailor Jerry's... my twitchy drunken fingers insisted on creating some fanart for E is for Estrangement. I've never used a nib pen before and it was FUN!!! I also kinda tore the paper a bit with it, and the ink was supposed to be brown but it wasn't. (I think I might even paint this one on canvass when I'm not quite so tipsy, and can actually master the art of A Clean Line. haha) So here ya go: E is for Estrangement - ink & chalk pastel on paper

You guys are sooo sweet, thank you!!! I woke up yesterday morning with ink all over my fingers and the horrible, sober realization that I had posted while smashy... oops. :/
I have a couple other paintings to finish up first but when I re-paint this all pretty-like I'll let ya know!
