Wonderful cover! The song sounds better than I expected on guitar. You have a lovely voice, too.

My punk band just released our first full-length, which we're about to take on tour around the northeast US. It's here. My two brilliant singer/songwriter friends wanted to write queer punk together and they asked me to play drums with them. It's been super fun. There are parts of the album that aren't as tight as I'd like, but as a first album I'm hella happy. There's a lot of pop, 2-3 part harmony, and poetry laced into it. My friends said silly things like Raooul and Joan Jett and Touche Amore, I really don't know what it sounds like, but I would love if y'all would listen.

I like the colors in the artwork. I like 'An Honest Man' the most. 'Teal' and 'Stunning Silence' are really good also. 'Offerings' reminds me of another song, not sure what it is but it sounds too depressive for me. Like the ending of Into The Wild. "When you get nervous you hide things in your clothes." I like that line because when i go outside i usually have tic tacs in my pocket and when i come across a awkward situation i take it out of my pocket and play with its case to feel not so nervous or awkward. It probably has nothing to do with what you had in your mind when you wrote it but i just wanted to share that because it reminded me of that.

I actually prefer you relate the lyrics to something in your life as opposed to me telling you what they're supposed to mean - I'm glad they stood out to you in some way, I'm really lyric-oriented when I listen to music and I put a lot of thought into lyric choices. It hasn't been that long since I put this out but I feel like I've outgrown it already, a strange feeling.

Well that's how an artist supposed to be like. You create something and you love it but after getting it done you lose your zeal over it. It's not that you love it less, you're just looking and searching for the next thing. I've also listened to 'The Demo EP'. I like 'Offerings' version of 'Teal' more. Violin suits it well. I really like 'Homes' also. But if the "echoes and leaves" part were soft like "nobody calls" and "she never calls" it'd be great, in my opinion. It's probably my favorite track from you.

Alea I'm on the annual 'Flareguns on tour' family break to the furthest extremity of my small island nation, so internet is patchy but I can't wait to get back to the land of internet (electricity) to listen! artwork looks great!

It's good to see that this board is still alive! Can't wait for Owen's next album! I've got a good 30-40 minutes worth of instrumental compositions on my soundcloud, mostly midi sorry. I've been dabbling with Binary and sonata form. I'm just an amateur though. If any one wants to see the music feel free to message me. soundcloud.com/samuel-rainer
