This was my birthday present for my 18th. It's on my right hip. I'll try and take a photo at some point. What do you all think? I haven't had any comments from FF fans as of yet.

Ooo nice! is it strictly an ode to final fantasy or is it more just violin music in general? it looks a whole lot like a violin F-hole which is a good thing!

The original design is from the inside artwork from 'Has A Good Home'. The 'f' was originally more in the style of child-like handwriting so the tattooist had to change it so that it was a tad to make it well..more of a tattoo design. That's the markings in the top and bottom that are slightly different from the original. I might add a smaller one later on. But strictly an ode to Owen. Though I do also play the violin so... it could be an ode to me and music as I study it and what not.

This tattoo represents everything that is wrong with today's society. I'm horrified that you have to live the rest of your life (or until you feel like getting some skin burned off with acid) with your pathetic fandom branded on you. Why not just carve "I'M SO INDIE" into your forehead? Idiot.

Is this effecting you in any way? Why you gotta go and be an ass dude? If you wanna be an elitist prick who refuses to show appreciation anything from fear of being called a fan boy then go ahead but insulting random people on the internet is totally uncalled for.

And getting something as transitory as album art tattooed on your skin isn't uncalled for? Seriously, it's a profoundly messed up thing to do. Why are you too much of a soft moron to acknowledge that?
Fact is, this isn't about me. This is about a sad, sad little person stealing a musician's art and having it permanently drawn on their body. It's pathetic and unoriginal.
It's like the permanent, life-altering equivalent of filling a Facebook/myspace/whatever with lists of your favourite bands and lyrics to songs you didn't write. You know, using things other people have created to express yourself. That is annoying; this is insane.

Dude, she said its "strictly an ode to Owen". It has nothing to do with personal expression. I have a bunch of Zappa posters in my room and I wear a Zappa shirt occasionally but thats not how I express myself. I express myself through my music and the posters and shirt are just signs of respect and admiration towards someone who has strongly influenced my music.
You either don't see the difference between tribute and expression or are just trying to blur the line between the two for the sake of being an ass.
Do you have any paintings in your house? I'm sure if you do you don't consider them your own personal expression or try to take credit for them. You would simply put them up because you like them for whatever reason. The only difference here is that its on someones body rather than a wall but at that point its just a personal decision and you have no real reason to criticize the person.

As straightforward as it is to point out the gaping holes in every spiteful piece of diatribe that winston spews on this site, and as much as we think that if we systematically spell out what a pathetic fuckwit he is for picking random fights over the safety of the internet he will concede, check himself, realise his errors and go to the park or something, the fact of the matter is that he will continue to reply to everything you say with the same idiotic and downright mean comments - winston is really quite stupid. I believe a "don't tap on the glass" approach is the best to apply for winston. I realise that me writing this will probably provoke it, but everyone take note of how I DON'T reply to whatever it has to say to me. Ignore winston, let it make a fool of itself until it gets bored.

haha i remember Winston : P
he's the lovable chap that called everything retarded, and Owen was all "dude i have famz that may or may not be mentally and developmentally less able, don't be ignorant or you shall be banned from Heartland (shzine).
I totally thought he said, "thats retarded" and got banned, but no!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He's been lurking in the shadows to once again reveal his social dysfunction/severe self esteem issues and once again plague us with his presence!!!
I think it's wonderful.

I'm horrified that you have to live the rest of your life (or until you feel like getting some skin burned off with acid) with your pathetic fandom branded on you. Why not just carve "I'M SO INDIE" into your forehead? Idiot. Right. As being someone who has been playing classical instruments since I was 5 years old, the 'F' also stands for 'forte', which is a musical term. So it applies for both one of my favourite musician's and for my love and admiration for music in general, which I still study at college. Not just Owen Pallett, who I wouldn't even consider as indie myself, I'd say classical/folk. I'm not at all horrified knowing I have to live the rest of my life with it as a) I can get it removed and b) it's small and you can only see it if I'm in a swimming costume c) everyone should promote their admiration for music in any way they choose and that's what music is for, to provoke passion within people. And you know what, I plan to get more!

Time to boost this thread from hibernation. This is x-posted from The National thread. Got this done in May of this year. Not the best pic (can't find my good one), but for now, here's my FinalFantasy/Owen tattoo
