Hello good people, it's been a while since I've been on, but I loved the EP's, just waiting for Heartland. Anyways....
Apparently Owen helped do the score with some familiar faces from Arcade Fire..... is this rumors?
I want details people!

It has been done. Win Butler confirmed it on stereogum. Apparently, it's completely instrumental and it sounds like something that could be featured in an Alfred Hitchcock's mvoie.

The Google ads at the top of the page are now offering me tickets to an Arcade Fire tour. Damn lying internet...
Anyway, yes, I'm looking forward to this a lot. I'm particularly curious to hear what they've done given the movie's time setting - I've never heard anything from those three that instantly brought the 70's to mind.

I didn't know Cameron Diaz went gigantic. Wouldn't E! might have mentioned it?
Anyway, this is pretty much make or break for Richard Kelly for me. I want to think Donnie Darko wasn't a complete fluke, so I'd like this to be pretty good.

Hey, Boy of Bark! I just realized you're "Boy of Bark" on Myspace! That is you right? Fun songs!
Anywho, keeping on topic, this looks like a darker movie, but I'm not sure if I could take Cameron Diaz seriously. Either way, a good soundtrack is usually enough to get me through a movie.

Yes it is me! haha that's awesome! Someone knows my music! Who are you on myspace? Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed my songs! And on the topic of the box, Why did they only put diaz on the poster? Isn't James Marsden also the star in the movie?

I am SO double-friend-requesting you! Yeah, I tend to drift from page to page on myspace, and I came upon yours. It's really good! Addicting too. Anyways, I should stop now that I'm completely off topic.

bit confused. many of the comments under the video claim that the music is the soundtrack to the "Saw" movies... I'm guessing this is more a preview for the story and not so much the soundtrack, huh? darn. also, i hope that the person who dies from the magical button isn't anyone from this forum. yikes. (i hope owen, win, and regine make an appearance even if it is just as Pedestrian #1, 2, & 3)

Movie trailers typically feature temp music. I don't know why!
But yeah, it sounds like a moody Bernard Hermann score. Bits of Khachaturian, bobs of Shostakovich. All of Win & Regine's sensibilities are represented, and I had a ball with the orchestration and some of my own bits... but it's definitely very far removed from any of our other projects. It is not Belle & Sebastian's soundtrack to "Storytelling".
And also, not to give anything away, but Cameron Diaz's character is not actually a 9-year-old girl, but a 33-year-old psychotic Eastern European with hypopituitarism, which only gives her the appearance of a pre-adolescent.

Don't worry, I think we all saw that miles away. ..If a trailer is made to represent a film, I don't understand why they wouldn't just use music from the movie's soundtrack... so I'm guess there won't be much reverse bow tapping? if not Storytelling, could you compare the score to any perticular film score? -but "Jersey is Where America's At!" (for some reason i'm thinking the Life Aquatic with Seu Jorge's Portuguese Bowie covers)
