Just so we all know, and if smeone objects or wants to add a song, here are the songs we are supposed to work on.
Divorce the Ones you love Carload of Whatever Fault of Mine Love Song.Empty Room (superhappyfun version) Jars of Lars
If someone wants to add one song, feel free to do so.
I don't think I could take the leadership role either, so yeah, someone else should do that.

Ok great
So Sarpedon will take the leadership role with orange fox, if he wants.
Now, we need to know what instruments/noize makers people can play.
This is what we got from last time we organised it:
An Amateur - Accordion Sarpedon - Guitar, Bass, Soprano Ukulele, Bariton Ukulele, Banjo, Synth mhmm - Guitar, Synth Scarychips - Violin Ren - English Horn kiwiball - Drums orangefox - Cello, Accordion cal - Guitar, Piano/synth, Trumpet BlueInk/BlackThink - Piano, Violin richie - Mandolin, Violin, Viola, Guitar, banduria, theremin
If there's some errors, say so and I'll modify it.

In my mind this EP was finished a long time ago.
We have to face it though, it would be pretty impractical to do an online group effort recording.

(the thermin is always necessary ) In my mind this EP was finished a long time ago. We have to face it though, it would be pretty impractical to do an online group effort recording. for some time now, a friend of mine has been assembling a music recording comunity website. like a myspace or facebook but instead with musicians. one musician posts an initial "guideline" track, then one of their friends replys to it by adding their accompaniment in a parallel track, more friends do this and so on... hes nowhere near finished with it, just at the beginning stages, but it just shows that this EP ist that far-fetched of an idea! (boy, i wish that webiste was ready now..) but i can recommend a first step! Sarpedon or whoever could record a first track (this guideline i had mentioned, basic chord structures ext..) bounce it too an mp3 then post it here with any comments or recommendations. whoever next can then drag the single track mp3 into a recording program of there choice (audacity will do and its a freeware), they can then write and record an accompaniment, delete the initial guideline track, and bounce there accompaniment to an mp3 and post it the next person takes the two existing tracks into consideration and add there accompaniemen..so on and so forth.. (wash, rinse, and repeat) after all the recordings are done, someone can assemble all of the separate tracks together, adjust levels, mastering, so on and so forth... and there you have it, a song. this is just an idea. it seems overdone but, mp3s are basic and nothing fancy, and theres no porfessional recording software purchases required... id be more than happy to assit/assemble/edit/..help you! im not extremely savvy but i use to work at a music recording studio so i have a general understanding.. ( but dont let that fool you, this EP is still far from done)

Or, we should use another song that won't be included on the EP (or as a bonus track). As a test song, like you said.

yea, a test track would be good. this is a ridiculously long process so i cant imagine getting to the EP any time soon, but its a start... if anyone has any different ideas for a recording process, im sure theyd be much more logical..but as i said, at least its a start..

If we go by what we were supposed to do, we'll all sing anyways.

I don't think Love Lockdown is musical enough. Perhaps another Kanye number?

Its sing-y and simple enough to do with instruments.
and it follows the same beat.
