totally agree with you... I'm really fond of demos too. about the ripped stuff, there's something else the listener lose: quality for me internet media are just like a radio or a TV broadcast. Then you are able to record almost whatever you want so it's not really possible to avoid people ripping and so on. I'm looking forward to hearing the final mix too And yes, the myspace track sounded really weird to me, surely because my musical/group/artists knowledge is really really poor. It's the first time I hear something like this, so it didn't sound as something I know, I couldn't understand the melody, nor find it harmonious. I found the fisrt part (until 2:00 or so) both frightening and childish (or childlike? I don't know, anyway nothing pejorative, but I don't find the word) so quite weird... so I really like it! but what the hell are the birds which are singing? There is one I'm quite sure it's a blackbird, but the one whistling behind... no idea... anyway thanks Mr Pallett for the answer.

I heard (I think) Mourning Dove and Rufus-Sided Towhee in there... yeah, I was a bird nerd when I was six.

I think its an eastern, I live in southeastern Virginia and a few live in my yard, and they're not spotted. their call sounds like somone saying "drink your tee-ee-ee," its pretty funny, thats why I've remembered it all these years. They have a standard chirpy one too. and I lied, I was a bird nerd until I was at least ten. I was a messed up little hobby obsessed kid.
