 Thanks for the heads up! This has gotten me very excited now, not only because both songs sound fantastic, but because perhaps we'll be getting an announcement about a release date soon?

Wow. Blue Imelda sounds fantastic--I love the wind shots, and the steel drums and the birdsong and the way it ends with just Owen's voice.
No one will be able to say that this record sounds like the others. Phew. Awesomesauce!

According to the track listing for Spectrum 14th Century this is actually Oh Spectrum and Blue Imelda (i.e. the opening 2 tracks off the ep). Maybe Mr P decided to conjoin them into one instead.

It wasn't the final mix. I took the song down because somebody ripped it and posted it.
Don't mind that kind of thing normally... but it was not the final mix. Not meant to be shared like that. You'll have to wait.

You'll have to wait. That's perfectly understandable. I'm one of those people who love to hear all the versions of a song from inital demo through to final mix to appreciate it evolution. I'm facinated by the whole process and love it when demo / early mix recordings become available, not because there are necessarily the greatest thing since sliced cheese, but as an understanding / pointer to the final song. That's not a hint or request, but just a fact by the way. It's an unfortunate (or fortunate depending on your point of view) part of the whole internet that anything posted can be ripped and distributed quicker than a horse can bolt from an open stable door. So on the one hand we gain by getting ripped stuff, but we lose out more because it means that artists are less like to share the process. |
