See this is what I'm talking about, you dudes pose "punk" and you aren't doing anything different. Wearing a bunch of stupid shit and getting shit faced or smoked out on the weekends is your rebellion? Well who doesn't do that? Even the captain of the football team's doing that. Now I got nothing against wearing stupid shit (or against football...football's sick!) I'm just saying that you dudes shouldn't be influenced by music that's fuckin' edited all nice, packaged and marketed so you'll buy it. You wieners should be starting your own bands, pumping out your own burly ass fuckin' hard ass demos, starting zines, that kind of stuff. DON'T POSE! Man, when have I said I'v done, or not done any of this?

there's nothing inherently wrong with music well packaged, produced, and marketed. i know i don't want to have my musical diet consist only of shitty recordings from small town punk bands that are trying to incite revolution through self-righteous preaching.

yeah, and there are some bands like metric or the dears WHO WORK THEIR WAY UP and get government grants to record their albums and stuff. the albums sound really good, but they're still DIY or indie.
except for the government part...THAT'S not punk.

Bruce-I already said it, you're a hippy. Don't be bitter. If you can't see what's inherentley wrong with that kind of music, that's your deal. and "Just because it's DIY doesn't mean it has to suck"
Nathan-He's obviously punk. Who else is down to go to naneward lake 24/7, 365.
Jonny-what you're talking about is totally different than the uber marketed streamlined scheit you find on the radio or wherever.

chad loin has this problem with making idiotic assumptions. apparently im a mcdonalds eating SUV driving overconsumer.
i guess im not punk because i dont play an instrument or make zines. i better act more like chad. oh, and any band on a major label sucks. like led zeppelin, tool, the doors and a hole shitload of other bands that shitkick some indie garage band.
im going to dictate punk like you do now. who the fuck cares what or what i dont wear? its irrelevant. who the fuck cares what i play or dont play? who the fuck cares if i make a zine or not? me. thats who doesnt. to me, punks not about all that bullshit scene crap. its a mindset. stand up for what you believe in, spread information, dont take shit, and for fucks sake dont tell someone how to act. you sound like a fucking scenester junky.

wiley, i don't much like the doors, but tool are possibly one of the worst things to happen to the medium of recorded music.

i really liked the doors when i was in grade 9 and i wanted my group in gym class to do a gymnastics routine to "let my fire" but we ended up doing it to "i just cant wait to be king" from the lion king.
and i got to be simba!

to make it easier, Loin, my boy, I am sooo not punk. I was raised in a way too conservative family to become punk. I love the people in the scene and I love the music (honestly I do, although I was serious about Pink hehe) but if you met me you would find me to far from the prototype of punk. All of this considered, I am not a poser. I wear what I want to wear and I do what I want to do, if I really wanted to fit in with the "punks" more I would have to change a fair bit about myself.

dear mr. bad, citing tool as a major label band that doesn't suck ass only hurts your arguments and mine. led zepplin is also pretty lame.
dear chad, i love you.
also dear chad, if you see what's inherenly wrong with that kind of music, it's actually your deal, not mine. i will continue to enjoy the music i do.
finally, it is bedtime, and i have to pee in a mega-huge way.
