It pains me to see these bands duke it out over a message board, of all places. Here we have: You Say part....fuck, that is such a ridiculous name for a band I'm not even going to finish typing it. I will abbreviate your band name because I know that is what you idiots who make a pathetic stab at 80s pop in tight pants and weird frilly shirts do so well. YSPWSD is complete and utter shit. I can probably pinpoint every one of your musical influences to a tee, and I'll tell you right now that you're not doing a very good job of interpreting them into your own sound. Hell, I bet you're the type of people that think it's funny to listen to Madonna. Aside from the unoriginal sound, you have attempted to make a fool out of a good band. However, in trying to do this, you failed miserably. If you can find any comparison between New World's music and Refused aside from the possible name drawn from their lyrics, I would encourage you to post it in this thread. Even so, wouldn't you agree that Refused are a much better band to be influenced by instead of oh, lets say...Dexy's Midnight Runners? Why don't you tell us where you got your band name from. Was it from one of your crazy acid trips while you were listening to Blondie? I highly recommend that you take your kooky belt and hang yourself with it, a process some would call natural selection. fuck off! first of all, it's one thing to have influences that are maybe obvious, but when you've only been a band for a few months, what do you expect? the fact that ysp!wsd! is this tight within the first few months of their being a band is commendable. and, if any of you knew anything about music other than gg allin or the ramones or whatever the hell it is you all glorify, you would know that actually, ysp!wsd! are nothing even close to a refused cover band. all of your awful bands sound exactly like the shitty punk you live for, this band is working on developing something based on influences.

second, the name is kind of cheesy, but you have to understand how difficult it is to name a band. it takes forever to come up with something that sticks, and you say party! we say die! is much more original and memorable than 22 hookers or sans nathaniel.
