i just got a Yamaha SHS-200 Digital Keyboard with MIDI do you know know anything about this beautiful instrument? all i know is that it is from 88

I don't know anything about that particular synth though... does it have realtime control (knobs or sliders)?? that sounds rad! I don't know too much about digital synths.. mostly analogue

well Jason... the first thing you should do is pull the Dyck out gently and allow it to recover. Playing some new wave might help, especially if it's japaneses new wave.
