Back to a serious note: I agree with most everything being said here. Even though some of the things slightly contradict. i've got nothing against Christianity; I think good Ol' JC had some good ideas. My problems lies in christians themselves. Not all of them really, maybe not even most. I think it's more important to find your own spirituality, rather than have it forced upon you at an early age. A lot of the people I know who were raised in a church environment eventually left if because they couldn't stand the hipocracy of it. And usually when this happen they forsake religion all together , rather than just modify their beliefs and try to find what IS right for them. The other problem with christianity is that they're not very accepting of the fact that people have different ideas about God. They think that Muslims and jews are going to hell because they don't believe in the right "God". Only its all the same, just slightly different.
Man, this is a long post, and I'm probably not making any sense, or saying anything of any value, so I'll end it now. It seems like a lot of you on here are christians, so i'd be interested to here some of you ideas.

you're right. i shouldn't condemn an entire faith based on a few bad apples. i suppose that would be 'wrong'. I also definitely know a lot of really cool christians, but i also know a few not so cool ones. i guess that's pretty much a good cross-section of society as a whole: one or two rotten beans make the whole burrito seem less delicious.

i love people who have faith and convictions... i admire that a lot, but just because you believe in something doesn't mean you can't have a sence of humor about yourself. some people just take everything so seriously.

Okay.... Tyler.. you're forgetting something. Christian are people.. like you or anyone else, capable of making mistakes. I don't think you'll find a Christian that hasn't said or done something hypocritical.. or.. anyone on the planet that hasn't done something hypocritical, people are people. We shouldn't be so quick to judge people or faiths.. I know there are a lot of people out there that use their faith as a crutch, and there are a lot of people that don't. I'm sorry that so many of you have such a negative perspective of Christians. Oh... and we believe that Jews believe in the same God. Jesus was a Jew..... we don't believe that Jews are going to hell either. Please don't make false statements about my faith.. you're making it out to be something that it isn't... not cool. And, yes, people do modify their faith to try and find out what's right for them.. that's why there are over 30 000 different denominations of the protestant Church.
Thanks.
Peace (in the middle east)!
