I think people know that the music for "an arrow in the side of final fantasy" is influenced by mario, but it amazed me that it was so similar, and brilliant!!! Check out this youtube link...so so cool www.youtube.com/watch?v=JGBkvcpeT04

Owen could secretly be stealing all of his melodies from video games. I was bored and so I lined them up in a music editing program and this came out: www.box.net/shared/hdfw7f9s8wI had to slow the Mario bit a tad, but the results are still funny. It sort of becomes uneven near the middle of the song, but oh well.

Don't you think that it's interesting that usually when people start finding out that artists "borrow" tunes from other sources and what not there is a general outrage associated with it and yet everyone here enjoys it so much.

Owen posted this regarding the Mario homage: Well, my fine friend, if you look inside the liner notes of your copy of HAGH you would find the composer of Marlo Land 2 was acknowledged. It was my favourite piece of video game music when I was 12 and I put it on mix CDs. Embarassed that the recipient might find out that the song was from a video game, I would credit the song to the fictional band "Chuck", and called in "Mario In Space". Here's the link to the topic: shzine.proboards10.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=fantasy&thread=1155759481&page=1Cheers
