Owen could secretly be stealing all of his melodies from video games.  I was bored and so I lined them up in a music editing program and this came out: www.box.net/shared/hdfw7f9s8wI had to slow the Mario bit a tad, but the results are still funny. It sort of becomes uneven near the middle of the song, but oh well. |

Don't you think that it's interesting that usually when people start finding out that artists "borrow" tunes from other sources and what not there is a general outrage associated with it and yet everyone here enjoys it so much.

Owen posted this regarding the Mario homage: Well, my fine friend, if you look inside the liner notes of your copy of HAGH you would find the composer of Marlo Land 2 was acknowledged. It was my favourite piece of video game music when I was 12 and I put it on mix CDs. Embarassed that the recipient might find out that the song was from a video game, I would credit the song to the fictional band "Chuck", and called in "Mario In Space". huhuhu reminds me quite good memories... and bad ones, I was really bad at mario and I never finished this level... uh I must confess I was around 7 years old but it's not a good excuse ^^
it gives me the wish to try again...
