I don't know a lot about Björk, in fact I think I know more covers than original songs, but it makes me want to know some more... anyway, thanks for the links. as i don't know the song I can't judge the cover, but I like this piece, if you see what I mean.

that was painful i like how she has a handler like a wild beast Have you seen her interview and how she explains her behavior? if not here you go www.youtube.com/watch?v=FSMFTAzygJU She's freeaaaakkiinnn nuts I love her well they say it's all an act and she's just a persona so my fear of icelandic people has been allayed though that bjork attack on the reporter was scary re: bjork i have just started listening to post for the first time and it's interesting how all the songs are so different from each other, which stereogum tells me is what she was going for

You see I only see shades of grey with Bjork. Sometime I still see the light but then other time I appreciate the dark. Since I listen to Björk, or since I have a musical sensibility*, I've only seen the black parts, I really like Björk, she'as not my favorite artists but she's in the top 5. My music teacher showed us her Olympic Games performance. I still remember it, it was the first time I've listened to her, it was a great experience to see that at the time. *not that people who don't like her don't have that sensibility

hmm.... i've always thought bjork was a brilliant singer/songwriter but i guess i imagined that there was some svengali dj behind her creating all that amazing music, so i kinda viewed her in a 'white' way. my respect for that talented, eccentric little pixie has just gone way up after realizing that it's her own genius behind all her music. it's hard to say what album i like best, Post is of course so awesome but god 'it's oh so quiet' was just Killed, ya know? blah! to be honest, i haven't heard any of her stuff past Homogenic, which incidentally i Loved! it's so moody & mid-90's techno. I'm just making this up as I go along: this is off the top of your head? pfft. i couldn't write that eloquently if i was armed with a thesaurus and a big bottle of absinthe. ah well. very interesting way of explaining it!!

I find Björk fascinating, and I really don't understand how attacking a reporting can put a blemish on her wonderful creations. Yes, she's different, but so are all of the artists we love.
