for sure... the main problem is that we learn British english at school... I stayed 2 weeks in Wales and then in Norfolk... all different accents, I finally managed to understand something, same with californian english (and a tiny bit of spanglish)... if you add to these influences a big very french accent with Z instead of th, and a tiny accent from south america, you'll imagine my english accent is a complete mess But it's the same here, Parisians have their way of talking, quite different from south of France and North of France or center... such a mess! And I'm not speaking of regional languages... But at hearing this vid I didn't get lot, but I like Owen's voice and accent, because I get no word at all! it's like a lullaby! one said at a concert in France his "thank you" sounded like "fuck you"

I'd heard that they had made a documentary of the making of the album and that it might be released on dvd. Lush is the word of the day now.

I meant to mention this the other day but was too busy but a phang posted in the other place ... The Last Shadow Puppets reckon the guy who orchestrated their record deserves the credit for their success. Alex Turner and Miles Kane, both 22, scopped Best Breakthrough Act at the MOJO Honours List, but it was all down to former Arcade Fire arrangers Owen Pallett, 26. Alex revealed: "Owen gave the record life. It was amazing - suddenly our little models and sketches took shape. The arrival of strings gave everything a boost." Give the man a gong. Got to love the informative nature of the Daily Star, 29 with the age so kindly supplied although I though Mr Pallett was a tad older than quoted....must be rock star age I love the Rascals album, but I keep wanting to here those strings in the background. Hope if a new SP album is done that Owen gets the gig (if he wants it that is).

well depending on where you look, owen is born in different years haha. some places say 1981 (his profile) while others say 1979 (wikipedia). how mysterious.

Regarding Owen's birth year - I go with 1979. I did an internet search and found a list of students at the Milton District High School in Milton ON. On the list was Michael Pallett (Owen was born Michael [ Thus??: Many Lives => 49 MP ] ). Michael attended 1993 to 1997. Since a John Pallett was listed as attending the same school 1989-1993 I believe this is OUR Owen and his brother. Doing the math, 1979 seems the more reasonable birth year. Call me obsessive, but I would have been very happy to prove this kind of mistake in Wikipedia. Unfortunately they seem to be correct!
