Does anyone also have problems with downloading this file linked by tt? When I try to download it, the transfer is always stopped after a couple of minutes. So if anyone could upload this recording to another server I would be very grateful. And anyway, big thanks to tt for the recording . If someone wants to have mp3s from FF on Maximum Black in Berlin, ripped off from the videos on youtube, here they are: www.chomikuj.pl/missyseepy/final+fantasy/live/Berlin*2c+2.03.2008And in the end: big thanks to Owen for organising this festival and a fantastic gig in Berlin. New songs sounded awesome, especially Bass Hit. And I was very happy to hear "Many lives-> 49 MP", my favourite song . But of course FF's gig was too short, so I'm looking forward to the tour promoting Heartland and hope that Owen won't forget about Germany during choosing places to play then (if Owen came to Poland I also wouldn't object .

First of all, thank you so much everyone for the stories, reviews, videos, and recordings! To move onto the main point of this post, I took the liberty of splitting tt's recording into separate tracks and uploading them, so, if you so desire, here it is: Final Fantasy Live at the Maximum Black Festival in Berlin 03/02/2008 www.mediafire.com/?bfgjbgdymuq (192 kbps mp3's in a .zip file) Tracklist: 1. He Poos Clouds 2. Flare Gun 3. The Book of Butchery 4. Hey Dad 5. The CN Tower Belongs to the Dead 6. Cockatrice 7. Many Lives -> 49 MP 8. None of You Will Ever See Max Tundra Again (The Reverse Pedal's Failure) 9. What Do You Think Will Happen Next? 10. Lewis Takes Off His Shirt 11. This Lamb Sells Condos 12. Please Please Please (I think "Bass Hit" is now called "Cockatrice," so I've tagged it as such. If I'm mistaken, please let me know.) Enjoy!

Big thanks, vestenet!
I use the title "Bass Hit", but I'm not sure whether it's correct. And instead of "The book of butchery" I have in tags "The butcher", but also I'm not sure which title is the proper one.

Ah thanks I've been curious as to when he's been coming near my god-forsaken rock. It's highly unlikely that he will come back to a venue near me, I think Glasgow scarred him for life last time he was here :/

I would be happy if he could do those residency shows in Montreal, three shows at the same venue three nights in a row, like Beirut did at La Sala Rosa. It would be great!

yah yah, it's over. i missed it. but i came across this interview from www.new-noise.net and it was pretty amusing so i figured i'd post it anyways. Excerpt: "So it was quite an organic thing then. Exactly, somebody who was there making the commercial had the Final Fantasy CD and liked it, so they came to a show I played in Vienna - both people from the company that made the commercial and Utility company. Rather than play ‘This is the Dream of Win and Regine’ I played their version of the song which has like this guy singing (puts on funny voice) "Can you feel it!!!" just like, you know, to be kind of, "Haha, instead of hearing the song you want to hear I’m going to play this commercial song." So they came up after the show and they were really nice about it and they were like, "So what can we do?" I mean, they’re a public works company so they’re funded by the people of Vienna, so it’s in their best interests to keep good faith and also to do things like promote cultural events. So it was kind of a natural conclusion that they would give us money to set up a festival. I mean it’s just me and Suzanne my European manager – we’re just two people so we don’t have the sort of time, energy or facility to set up like a huge Latitude-style festival, but knew we were able to get a bunch of bands we really like and get them to play shows across a few cities. (Maximum Black travels to Berlin and Vienna also). " now that's funny!!

I shall keep on dreaming though! Latitude in the forest last summer was amazing..I watch a few other bands there and by far the biggest audience was for Mr Pallett. There's something about Owen and the great outdoors that seems to fit. There's some stuff on You tube from some other festivals and I like them more that the indoor footage

Yes, I agree. I saw FF outdoors last year (but granted, it was in Toronto), but it was really cool because I had a view of the CN Tower where I was sitting, so during The CN Tower song (err....I am having a memory lapse and cannot remember the title of the song...) I could actually see the CN Tower....it was coooool.
Sorry if that's totally off-topic. I think I've seen some videos on YouTube of Owen playing outdoors in Guelph last year or something, which would have been nice to go to if I had known it was happening....
