So your reading all the gushing praise for another canadian band in the Q magazine thinking that the world is really a better place than you thought (honest) and then you find lurking in the Best 10 Clips of the Month this little snippet..  I mean only 4 stars  |

I can't help but think "heehee, virtuoso violinist" in comparison with Owen saying something like, "I'm really not that good at the violin" at a concert a few months ago.
"Hypnotic" is maybe not the word I would have chosen. "Hilariously awesome" is maybe more like it.

I was disapointed that he didn't try to do the same high vocals as Mariah, at the Montreal show, but it was still great ;D

i laugh that all it really talks about are thingd hes done with other bands and that hes covered a maria carey song. they dont even get into the whole loop pedal thing.

I don't really like Fantasy....am I a bad person? bad = no. but you really don't like it? honest? i mean, i'm not a fan of Mariah but now i catch myself singing it & then i have to explain to friends "no, no! i'm singing the final fantasy cover of 'fantasy' & oh.. err.... whatever. *blush* it's catchy, alright?!" hmmmn.... 'oddball troubadour'? 'weirdly hypnotic'? oh well, at least they got 'virtuoso violinist' right. i suppose 'messianic minstrel' would have been right over the top.  |
