This is a little like one of those theme parks where you pay to get in and then you find out that some of the rides have an additional entrance fee. Not that I'm complaining.

WOW WOW WOW WOW! Just returned from the Guelph show. He pulled off He Poos Clouds beautifully. It was the first time I've heard him perform it (I've seen him play 5 or 6 times) and it was such a delight. ("This is so hard!") well it sounded stupendous. My favourite part of the show though? Alex Lukashevsky covers!!!!!! They were brilliant brilliant brilliant. Gosh. He blows me away EVERY TIME. He Poos Clouds? I am so freakin' envious.

I took a video of it, and when youtube starts agreeing with me I'll put it up.

Ancient is a great album. It's a shame that I can't find copies of the Fools ep or Zettel as the songs I got from the digital album "The Portable DDU" such as Moodring Band and Downhill is Downtown make me want more. Hopefully these will become available again in some format. I've now got Connexions (so sparse but beautiful) and I only found out about from you. I've found so much good stuff from you. Well mostly the old website, but hats for the Hank recommendation (Love the DIY covers from the blocks cds) and Wyrd Visions is still on rotation (You have to do a cover of Bog Lord one day). So do keep giving out the snippets of info, although I wasn't a big fan of that soup recipe....now if it had been spicy leek and potato

Updated!
I've rescinded the cost on "Your Light Is Spent". A magazine would suffice, really. In the van we read People, Retro Gamer, Plan B, Harper's and Men's Non-No. Whatever.
My Chopin playing abilities are limited to a handful of Preludes, a Polonaise (A+) and two Nocturnes. And I probably won't play them--they're such a bummer!
Jars Of Lars is an impossibility, for now. So are a couple of other requests (Arrow In The Side, etc.).
Regarding these requests its a definite "I'll do my best". I have to consider Steph's show as well... and many of these songs don't have films made for them. Also: pacing. Some songs (Scandal At The Parkade and Lewis Takes Off His Shirt) are pretty rough and it'll be dependent upon whether or not I can polish them up enough.
Is this weird? This request thing? I think it's fun!

This request thing is very exciting. I like it.
For the Maxwell's show in Hoboken: Many Lives He Poos Clouds Peach Plum Pear This Lamb Sells Condos Your Light Is Spent (I'd be more than willing to pay up.) That's When The Audience Died Interview Better Than Worse Paris 1919 Some amplified Bach. Mmm...
Yay!

I think the request thing is great! It sure beats yelling things out during shows and being ignored by the person on stage - not that you do that, Owen. Although I will point out that there was no sign of 'Peach, Plum, Pear' or 'Do You Love?' last night. tut tut
