I'm going to be at the show in Philadelphia, PA this November. I'd love it if you played "Spell For A Weak Heart". Also, "The Miner Becomes Forgetful". Would you be willing to play "The Hands"? And could you possibly do "Cliquot"?

So for Seattle I'll be adding a bottle of Hendrick's Gin to your birthday present, for Fantasy- I'll ply get a load of strange looks at the Duty-Free shops of the airport for this, I kid you not. Also, if you would be obliged to run around the stage a la take away show style for Your Light is Spent, I promise I'll give you enough of my favorite fantasy novels to last..um..a lifetime, probably! Or at least a few months.
And if you'd play Lewis Takes Off His Shirt, Took You Two Years, This Modern Love, Please Please Please (oops) Better Than Worse, and What do you Think Will Happen Next I will be very, very happy. To cinch the deal, I'm bringing along some amazingly geeky presents.
I can imagine my mom now, "We're only going to Seattle for one day! Why on earth do you need all this?!"
"It's for Owen Pallett mum, it's important!"
(How much for an Arcade fire cover? Three pieces of iron ore, 20 gold pieces, and a Dragon's scale sound good?)

What would I have to do/bring to get "No Cars Go" or "Peach Plum Pear" for if/when you come back to Toronto? And also expect a bottle of Hendrick's Gin (for "Fantasy") when you come Horsetail Feathers would also be nice! And it's free!

For Cambridge: -Your Light is Spent (I'd be happy to pay) -Paris 1919 -Chopin: Ballade No. 4, Op. 52 You are my brother in real life... And I'm glad we both asked for Your Light is Spent and said we'd pay. I hope you are not thinking of giving the same novel I am thinking of? -your younger brother.

Owen, are you playing a date in Washington DC? Like, 11-08, that little gap there? I mean seriously, what's up with that. Anyway, as of right now I'm just driving up to Philly, and I would like to request: Arctic Circle, Hey Dad, Flare Gun, Peach Plum Pear, That's When the Audience Died, Spell for a Weakling Heart, and the one I'll have to pay you for, but always wanted to request: Your Light Is Spent. If you end up playing a show in DC, you can transfer all those requests to that show. Philly is to far for me, but DC would be doable...

Thanks for all the requests! I'll compile them tomorrow, I've got to move the piano now.
As a kid I spent a tonne of time in Charleston SC and Ogden UT. Both cities are out of the way of major touring routes, though...
Still, I can't believe we haven't played Salt Lake City. Patrick and I were just there earlier this year visiting my aunts and uncles and cousins and grandparents.
I'm getting so nostalgic right now for Utah I can't even tell you...

Being as I'm going to be in Virginia Beach when you tour (instead of very close to NYC) I won't be able to make any of these shows. It's like the cursed zones in Okami for live music, radius of six hours is my understanding. ;/
I'm glad to see that Song, Song, Song doesn't require wearing a pregnancy-simulation vest, because that's the song I really, really want to hear. But I'd bring one of my favourite works of fiction as well as try to look for that pedal.
But the rest I'd leave up to you, Owen. You've never disappointed.
Maybe I'll get the guts to drive to South Carolina or Philadelphia. At least I know Philly.

Thank you!!

WOW WOW WOW WOW! Just returned from the Guelph show. He pulled off He Poos Clouds beautifully. It was the first time I've heard him perform it (I've seen him play 5 or 6 times) and it was such a delight. ("This is so hard!") well it sounded stupendous. My favourite part of the show though? Alex Lukashevsky covers!!!!!! They were brilliant brilliant brilliant. Gosh. He blows me away EVERY TIME.

I was gonna try and come down to the Arizona show cause I have family there or the San Francisco show cause I used to live there and I have friends there but I just can't make it cause of school. next time your visiting Salt Lake City play a show or your next tour make a stop... be safe in your travels.
