I went river rafting today, (It's still the 7th here in California) and I just remembered in the middle of the day that 'Hey! It's Owen Pallett's birthday!' And my friend shouted, "Whose birthday?!" and I was shouting back when we went into an enormous rapid waterhole and all this water got into my mouth.
Anyways stupid story aside, Happy Birthday Owen!

Thank all y'all. My birthday was an interesting mix of mundane and exciting.
I always forget what happens on birthdays, so here it is, in writing.
For my birthday I woke up and ate cereal. Then I worked at the piano on an arrangement for a Heartland song. Then Patrick and I fought on the phone; he wanted to go to V-Fest and I myself was a little "festivaled" out.
I went to see Jeremy Shaw's art opening at THE, Luis Jacob's art opening at the Mocca, and then went up to the Extermination Night in an abandoned warehouse in East York. The police came to shut us down but Daniel Vila and I were charming and described the night as "romantic" and "beautiful". He used the word "tea-light" and I think that really set the policeman's mind at ease.
I had brought no alcohol so I drank some Jonnie Walker from Jubal's picnic basket. I carried some tiki torches around and got my hands covered in kerosene, which Lidia kindly assisted me in removing. We watched the other bands and I sang along to Steve's Blankket set. Steve had me over the day before so I knew the words. Patrick and I made up, and then we kissed a bunch in a dark corner. By the time I played, I had inhaled a whole lot of dust and I felt extremely extremely drowsy.
I don't remember what I played but except for Flare Gun and CN Tower it was a whole bunch of songs I've never played before. This song in F minor called "Genius On The Driveway". A new song about cockatrices. The David Shrigley compilation submission. The Book Of Butchery/The Butcher which is still really new to me. Then I left, but I was so dusty that I couldn't think or see straight. Will Munro gave me a ride home.
The end. See you later, birthday!
