..so we're all waiting for Arcade Fire to come on stage when we notice an old hand who has been missing this year setting up. Yes It'd the Latitude festival in sun swept Suffolk, England (yes a UK festival without the mud) and Owen is on stage with the Arcade Fire again. Regine says what a pleasure it is and the crowd start chanting "Owen, Owen Owen" (well us lot at the front did anyway)...but wait that the cherry on top... what about the icing and the cake?
Saturday - Academy 3 - Manchester
Not much point telling you all how good the show was as you know it will have been amazing. Best show ever, probably not because he'll do better in the future, best show for now, absolutely
I love stephs slide shows and she didn't disappoint with the new additions to the show. The 1919 slide show was just perfect (sorry you latitude folk didn't get that as part of your experience). Steph mentioned that she might be doing a couple more videos. If you've not seen it before here is This Lamb Sells Condos

Interview (Simon Booklish)
After the show when Owen is packing up the manager of one of the support groups says there are a couple of girl outside desperate to see Owen but have to get a coach. I find Owen and we go down to the front. I leave Owen and play hunt the fan. I'm a tad too successful as instead of the 2 girls I bring back a posse. I did try an warning Owen, but he didn't hear the "Run Owen Run" but he's more than happy to chat and have pictures and stuff.
* The single is in the can so hopefully it will be released soon. It was recorded at the AF church and features Beirut. It will sell out fast so look out for an announcement of it's release.
Sunday - Latitude Festival
So after a night of less sleep than an insomniac it's off to suffolk and a day at the latitude festival.
As we wander round the site I keep getting stopped by people asking were I got the amazing Final Fantasy T-shirt. Well this one actually
If you want one then go here www.lo-fi-merchandise.com/catalog/ and select Final Fantasy in Band list on left hand side.
Owen played in the woods and despite it being away from the main area the tent is crammed with old fans and lots of new ones (again wanting that t-shirt). As its early evening and still light we sadly don't get Steph's light show and as it's a festival it's a shorter set. Hmmm... okay its much the same as Manchester without the extra bits at the end, but still great.

What Do You Think Will Happen Next?
1919 (John Cale)
The CN Tower Belongs to the Dead

This Lamb Sells Condos
At the end the crowd want more (much more) but it's a festival and Owen is merely "an egg in an incubator".... but then we did get more later on the main stage. Maybe a recording will turn up soon
Don took some absolutely wonderful pictures and has kindly let me post a couple here which Spidey posted on the UKK forum
..and so it's back through the woods, past the painted sheep, across the bridge over the lake, past the food stands and up the slop and into the main arena.
Look painted sheep
I'm not going to worry about being at the front for Arcade Fire as seeing Owen is far more important, but in the end (or actually at the beginning) I've found myself at the front.
Latitude festival was worth its weight in wool
Monday - Brighton
Tonight is Brighton and I got a text saying that the venue is nice and I wish I could have gone, but the brain cells need a recharge before the final UK show in Coventry tomorrow night.
Tuesday - Coventry
I just think it's going to be the best show until the next.
