Well, it's a funny thing. I played one show and it sounded great but it takes SO MUCH WORK to get that material together. Lots of sequencing and hauling the Junos around.
Also, I was only doing Tenderizer because I liked the band Animal Monster so much. And using 4 Junos was not getting the Animal Monster sound at all. (He uses a sampler and it's really necessary for all the polyphony.)
I wrote five Tenderizer songs and they still exist but I'm going to have to suss out a new performance style if they're ever going to see the light of day. We'll see. In the meantime, I sold one of my Junos to Miracle Fortress and I'm probably going to sell the other one as well.
I'm even a little tired of my little Juno Alpha, which is the one I've been using for Final Fantasy. I'm looking right now into getting a piano for looping. I used an electric grand at the Scala show last year and it was SO WONDERFUL. They aren't extremely expensive but they weigh 300 pounds. It was a Yamaha CP-70.
I started doing some research about the CP-70 and I found out that Keane own 10 of them. 4 for practise, 2 for UK touring, 2 for US touring, and 2 for spare parts.
Message to Keane: Give me one of your pianos.
All of the new Heartland songs are very piano oriented, with lots of flourishes that I can't play convincingly on a synth or a violin. The piano is going to help a lot when I start playing those songs live.
Oh how I do go on

As I was reading that I was thinking "Keane have about a million CP-70s" but you read my mind... Tim's a nice guy, maybe you can borrow one when they're not touring NA, ie now Although he probably has nothing to do with the control over them. Maybe resort to stealing.

Thanks for the update, we always appreciate it.
P.S combine nylon guitar samples with harpsichord samples, and play keyboard.

Oh, and also, doesn't the CP-70 come apart? So that's only two giant 150 lb pieces to lug around the world. I'm pushing it...it's cool.
