Before I turned 19 I would have gladly worn a large hunter orange sticker on my forehead saying "underage" if I could go to shows. Why can't they do that? I would totally do that.

dear owen, where will you be playing (that is if you play) in windsor? I'm a windsorite and have been looking forward for quite some time to see you. Will it be all ages?

Just been reading the extensive list of gigs on Pitchfork which doesn't quite tally with the list on the 1st posting but has more dates than ever. Also contains news of other things....oh I might as well just post it here in full:
Final Fantasy Hits the Road Tours with Bloc Party and Cadence Weapon, working on song cycle, big-band tribute...
Violin-looping one-man band and apparent Men in Tights enthusiast Owen Pallett will deliver on the promise of Final Fantasy's fall tour starting tonight, September 11, in Milwaukee.
Like an accomplished role-playing gamer, Pallett has further explored the underground caverns and secret passageways of his tour's itinerary and unearthed a few hidden gems in the form of even more dates than previously reported.
Mainly, this means the discovery of a few extra Canadian dates at the end and a quartet of shows with Bloc Party (whom Pallett has ably covered live) at the beginning. Isn't exploring fun?
Most of the trek is a co-headlining jaunt with fellow Canadian (and, yes, former Pitchfork writer) Cadence Weapon. Word on the street is that Owen and Rollie are collaborating, and Pallett is also "working on a series of conjoined releases that contain narratives that are set in the fictional kingdom of Spectrum, in which he is the main deity. In addition, Owen is recording a big band tribute to songwriter Alex Lukashevsky of the band Deep Dark United."
OK, that quote wasn't word on the street. It's from a press release.
Dates:
09-11 Milwaukee, WI - Pabst Theatre * 09-12 Indianapolis, IN - Egyptian Room * 09-13 Columbus, OH - Lifestyle Community Pavilion * 09-14 St. Louis, MO - The Pageant * 09-21 London, Ontario - LOLA Festival 09-28 Guelph, Ontario - River Run Centre 10-04 Montreal, Quebec - Ukrainian Federation (Pop Montreal Festival) $ 10-12 Chicago, IL - Schubas $ 10-13 Minneapolis, MN - 7th Street Entry $ 10-15 Winnipeg, Manitoba - West End Cultural Centre $ 10-16 Regina, Saskatchewan - The Exchange $ 10-17 Edmonton, Alberta - Myer Horowitz Theatre $ 10-18 Calgary, Alberta - The Warehouse $ 10-20 Vancouver, British Columbia - Richard's on Richards $% 10-21 Victoria, British Columbia - Alix Goolden Hall $ 10-22 Seattle, WA - Nectar # 10-23 Portland, OR - Someday Lounge # 10-25 San Francisco, CA - Independent # 10-26 Pomona, CA - Glass House # 10-28 Los Angeles, CA - The Troubadour # 10-29 San Diego, CA - Beauty Bar # 10-30 Phoenix, AZ - Modified # 11-01 Abilene, TX - Monks # 11-02 Denton, TX - Hailey's # 11-03 Austin, TX - Fun Fun Fun Festival # 11-05 Birmingham, AL - Bottletree # 11-06 Atlanta, GA - Drunken Unicorn # 11-07 Charleston, SC - Map Room # 11-09 Philadelphia, PA - First Unitarian Church Chapel # 11-10 Hoboken, NJ - Maxwell's # 11-11 New York, NY - Bowery Ballroom # 11-12 Cambridge, MA - Middle East # 11-14 Sackville, New Brunswick - Brunton Auditorium 11-16 Halifax, Nova Scotia - St. Matthew's United Church 11-17 Halifax, Nova Scotia - St. Matthew's United Church 11-19 Quebec City, Quebec - Le Cercle 11-20 Ottawa, Ontario - Bronson Centre
