INTERNET (2003-present)
Steven Kado and I get on stage, roll dice, assume the identities of fantasy characters/monsters and enact a battle using our voices and any props that we find in the venue. Our first show was at Sneaky Dee's. I played a manticore solo and Steve countered with a bugbear. The show ended when I broke a bottle and Steve got worried about stepping in the broken glass.
Our latest show was at Buddies in Bad Times, for a night curated by Eugene Slonimerov of (Toronto's best band) Rozasia. I don't remember much of the show, except that it was the first one that was an unqualified success. Our last song, I assumed the role of thief and stole a number of objects from the audience while Steve's white dragon roared around on stage. I then pelted Steve with a barrage of purses and coats.
Last month, our glorious band name was stolen by Nick & Hadji and some other Montreal dudes. Because they're all swell guys and they didn't know any better, we have no quarrel.

You have your finger in many pies. Weird, shambolic pies.

"Shambolic" is a big word that I may have to look up and use at every possible occasion. 'Internet' sounds fantastic, and I wish I could go to a show--I don't have anything worth stealing, though.

That sounds amazingly fun.
More bands need to wear costumes these days. Less emo shirts-more cosplay!

More bands need to wear costumes these days. Less emo shirts-more cosplay! How about less emo music and more better music? I would definately love to see this!
