I have no tasty multimedia tidbits for you all as for once I managed to repress the urge to film and just absorbed it instead. I was disappointed in the girls next to me who actually spent a good minute posing for what is probably now their myspace photo while ignoring the performance. Yuck. Sebastian Tellier was terrifying; discuss. Anyway. Thanks, Owen, for a great night. Steph's projections and the show that goes along with it seem to be getting more enchanting all the time. Uhh, discuss? Oh, and Uncle Else, thank you for letting me go in front of you, and allowing me to shoulder in to meet Leo Chadburn.

The Scala show was probably my favourite out of the three times I've seen him. Finally got to see "This Modern Love", which made me an extremely happy bunny. In fact, he played every song I wanted him to-yay! Oh, and Steph's OHP projections were even more fantastic than in Manchester; there was one in particular near the end that was far more effective than anything more hi-tech could have managed.
Also, I agree with Meryl (who, by the sounds of it I was standing very near to)- Sebastian Tellier= terrifying. I wasn't sure if it was when he was mimicking fellatio with his microphone, or his random non-sensical Gallic exclamations, or when he introduced himself as 'Daniel Powter'- but yeah, the Rasputin-lookalike was probably one of the most insane individuals ever to grace the Scala stage. But then again, he DID run around stage with his pants down pretending to be an aeroplane, which makes him something of a hero in my book.

alice - super photos
meryl - your wonderful and the fact that you found FF without the aid of AF like me and many others makes you fab. But then you turn up and say hi to Leo, which was like wow here's someone with taste. It was a pleasure to let you get to the front.
citizenmeh - nice to see you again and I would endorse every word you said except that The Lengendary Stardust Cowboy drops his pants far more dramatically and has been for many years.
The venue was great, but if you look back 12 months to where Owen was playing, it make you wonder about the possibilities for the future. At this rate we will have to book the albert hall in a few years (but wouldn't that be just awesome and so right. Actually don't Orange sponser gigs at the albert sometime...... pause for thought.....)

Citizenmeh, were you the fellow talking to Uncle Else during the show? In that case I sort of met you also? Jollyness, you always have good media to proffer - thank you for the clips (and the flickr photosets I dug up.) Uncle Else, thanks very much. You yourself were scarily knowledgeable about the music scene. My geekhood felt inferior. And just so you know - if I see you at another gig I might ask to employ your help in letting me shake the hands of people I admire. You seem good at that. Another Patrick Wolf Aside: if anyone from here's attending the Union Chapel gig, you've got to say hi, because you're all so frightfully interesting. All right? All right.

Sweet photos, alice! Crystal-clear close-ups and caught at some nice moments, too. Thanks for posting 'em. Sorta suffering post-concert withdrawl here in western Canada--gives us something to smile about
