hello, it's me again from the Sunderland gig. i want to come to london to see Owen there but i can't really afford to put myself up for the night, also i don't know where the hell is cheap. i'll be coming down on the £1 mega bus i think, reading for my university dissertation on the way. i am looking for some help with cheap accomodation or possibly some saintly person to put me up for the night. i look like this and have no bad habits to speak of, except murdering people in their beds. just kidding. anyhow. keep me off the streets please!

"New Birthdays."
I'd help if I could, but I don't think someone who's taking the bus would take a plane, and a train, and then a car to my house to spend the night.

There is a hostel near to the scala that some people who come over to see patrick wolf stay in. AnneYgerne (she has posted in the 'hello' thread) might be able to help. I remember her helping people. She seams like a top woman. She is on here so maybe pm her for details. Hope you don't mind Anne.
good luck

Oh and good luck with your Sunderland date. I've been telling my friend up that way that he must go along.

I don't know if this helps much, but a nice hostel in London is www.piccadillyhotel.net/london-hostels-english/london-hostels-main.htmlI stayed there last November during my uni's reading week when I went to London to see The Decemberists, Devendra Banhart and Demitri Martin. It is cheap (i did the £12 a night room), but pretty nice. It is also where all the people from Bangor's student radio station stay when we go to London for the student radio awards. Looks like if you take the tube, it shouldn't be a terrible distance from the Scala.

I can recommend the youth hostel by St Pauls. About £17/night inc breakfast (INCLUDING BREAKFAST!!!) and it's handy for the tube. www.yha.org.uk
